On tap at Cincinnati Winter Beer Fest (CWBF) 2013. Labeled simply "Espresso IPA", I’m pretty sure. Hazy amber color. Minimal white head. Some espresso in the nose, mostly herbal, earthy hops. Wow. Nice, impressive coffee / espresso taste in the flavor. Never had anything like this. Didn’t think an espresso IPA would work, but it does. Citrusy hop aroma, light pine, herbal. Draft sample at CBW. Poured hazy amber color with a large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellentl lacing. Moderate to heavy hop and dark coffee aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy coffee and bittersweet hop flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good change of pace beer.

3/14/2012: Rock Bottom Tazza Mia Espresso IPA... My first thoughts when I saw this on the menu was "An ESPRESSO IPA? What the?! That’s gotta be terrible. I can’t not try it!" However, this is a SUPER CRAZY GOOD beer. It’s unique, flavorable, and just DAMN YUMMY! I really wanted to drink another few pints of this... Aroma: Roasted coffee beans with a hint of orange. Appearance: Dirty golden amber color; large, dense beige-colored head; kind of ugly, actually. Flavor: Roasty with a nice, even citrusy hop profile; moderate bitterness with a dry finish; this beer is difficult to describe, but oh so GREAT! Palate: Medium-bodied; averate texture. Overall: Very different and VERY GOOD!
