On tap at Colorado Springs Rock Bottom. Poured a clear amber hue w/ medium tan head mostly diminishing and good lacing. Medium strength aroma of roasted malt. Initial flavor is a balance of sweet, acidic, bitter with a bitter finish. Dry texture, soft carbonation, and medium body. BlackForestCO (978) - Aurora, Colorado, USA - DEC 31, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Poured a deep amber-brown color with red highlights and a moderate off-white head that faded to a ring. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, light roast, and a light nuttiness. Smooth, lightly sweet entry with some soft chocolate and caramel leading into a light toasted nuttiness that transitions into a soft earthy hoppiness that ends lightly dry. Moderate carbonation and average mouth feel. Overall, a solid yet simple brown that turned out decent, but didnít really have any standout characteristics. jb43 (1650) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JAN 29, 2010

Had on draught at Colorado Springs Rock Bottom. Aroma is a nice roasted malt scent. Color is a near solid amber with a deep haze. Carbonation is mellow creating a thin but tight head. Taste like a mild Porter. Starting with a medium body it goes sown with a smooth feel. Finish is a deep roasted flavor that has a mild sweetness to it. After taste is clean with a faint bitterness. This is a tasty Brown ale.
