Tap @ downtown location. 10.2% per their information card. Somewhat hazy, red-orange appearance with an off white head. Rich berry fruity, potent caramel malty, mild toffee aroma. Flavor again is enveloped in berry fruitiness and a rich caramel maltiness. Pretty drinkable with some booze on the finish.

Dark hued clear amber. Mild aroma but contains sweet bready malts and spicy ripe fruit. Taste has a lot of honey from start to finish. Very sweet yet rounded and not palate assaulting like some other barleywines. Ripe fruits abound with the honey and a warm, subtle alcohol burn. Not too complex but perhaps the most approachable barleywine Ive had yet.

OK, so back in 2004 we went to the Great American Beer Festival. At the time, I wasnt able to find this beer. I have taken some time off from rating beers but, I thought I would go back at it. I noticed that it wasnt in my top 10 so with the help of my friend, Im retro rating it.
