CanIHave4Beers (4226) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - APR 11, 2011
Pours a hazy blonde color, almost orange with a small head and some lace. The aroma is nicely malty and somewhat sweet with light floral notes. The flavor is not as sweet as the aroma lets on. There is a sharp and spicy hop character that work well with the bright malty tones more noticeable throughout. The beer has more alcohol bite than the ABV would let on, making it drink more like a Dopplebock than a Hellerbock. It could by flavor and abv it would lean more towards the latter as far as style designation is concerned... although on all accounts it’s somewhere in between.
