On tap at Rock Bottom in Omaha on 5/24/2013. Poured a clear amber with a one finger off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma was somewhat hoppy and fruity. Flavor was sweet and nutty with a nice hoppy bitterness. heemer77 (5360) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JAN 30, 2012
Tap at The Library. Deep dark red copper body with a fluffy khaki head. The nose is nutty and malty with dough. There is a pleasing hay note. The taste is sweet and malty with some bread crust. There is also a nice nutty and slightly smoky finish. Very tasty with a hint of grapefruit in the aftertaste. A solid effort. beastiefan2k (4054) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - FEB 20, 2010
Sampler @ the brewpub. Clear amber color with a sticky lacing. Aroma is clear, bright hops, mostly bubblegum hops (reminds me of Bazooka). Some sweet apricot hops rolled in there as well. Flavor has an unexpected surprise with a medium bitterness, which counteracts the sweet hops. The bitterness sticks around. Good stuff, I could definitely drink this again. Pours a very hay reddish color with a good head that leaves sheets of lace. The aroma is some tank hops and is generally kind of fruity. the flavor is very hoppy with herbal, piney and citrus notes. This is pretty damn good. GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - JAN 3, 2008
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2008 Draft. Description at the brewpub was amber ale made with hemp seeds. Poured a clear amber-orange color. Head was off white with good retention and lacing. Aroma was of distinct grapefruity hops. Very nice. Delicately sweet on the tongue with toffee, toasted bread, and citrusy hop flavors. The sugars were mitigated somewhat by moderate to assertive hop bitterness that peaked at about 7 out of 10. Good beer.
