2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft, RB Chicago. Here it was presented as an Irish red ale, and I don’t think any of us has many great expectations from this style. Still, there are some nice roasty malt notes, and a noticable hop profile in an attractive red body. A decent enough session ale.
Draft at Rock Bottom Cincinnati from notes. Pours a hazy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted grainy malts, earthy and mild herbal hops, hint of citrus, mostly a very basic amber that gets a tick. Block (3222) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - JUN 14, 2015
Decently balanced. Very similar to most of their other ales and IPAs. Just a bit sweeter. jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAR 30, 2015
On tap at Rock Bottom in Charlotte. Pours a dark amber color with white head. Not much in the aroma. Toast, citrus, artificial cleaner flavors. Weird flavor. I don’t know what they were even going for. b3shine (9267) - Indiana, USA - APR 24, 2014
Draft to taster at the Cincinnati brewpub. Looks solid; a transparent amberish brown with foamy eggshell head. Smells mildly malty with notes of mild grain and a bit of toastiness. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Okay. Chudwick (3437) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Draft - pours amber with offwhite head and great lacing. Nose is pine. Flavor adds a caramel backbone with cheesy undertones. Wife says it smells like vomit. I disagree, a second whiff does reveal artificial pine smells like paint thinner. Hoppiness does wear off eventually. Decent to the style but nothing more.

Good, smooth lighter carbonation. More dry texture. Nice moderate bitter taste, light sweet in the finish. Lightly toasty malt. Spicy hop. Solid, hoppy amber Tide (4566) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 1, 2013
