Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, chocolate), light hops (woody), and light esters (dried fruit). 10 oz. glass at the brewpub. A fairly dark brown beer with red. A one finger tan head. Aroma is roasted nuts and cocoa. The flavor also had those roasted nuts along with some molasses. Only the faintest hops were noticed. Very easy to drink it is both bitter and sweet. Pleasant.

Draught at RB Indy/Downtown. Dark ruby, black with highlights, very cool looking! Lacy tan head. Nose of roast and berry. Watery body. Taste of roast and mocha, light berry, sticky candy bar malt and faint toffee/chocolate. Growler shared for Brother Eric’s 30th. Pours very deep brown with slight transparency and minimal beige head. Nose is mostly sour stale malt...but my palate is a little off due to the spicy cookout celebration. Flavor is smooth, mellow, slight choc malt and sweet nuttiness. Very good style and flavor. Hazy brown with thin off-white head. Aroma is of roasted malts with some sweet notes. Roasted/burnt flavor, dry finish. Flat on the tongue. draft at the downtown brewpub - Pours dark brown with an off-white head that laces well. It has a minimal nutty malt aroma. The flavor is sweet and full of caramel. It’s light to medium bodied and an easy quaffed session brew.
