Had on tap at the brewpub awhile back. It was arguably my favorite offering I tried while visiting there. awiseman01 (469) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAR 6, 2010
Growler shared for Brother Eric’s 30th. Pours very deep brown with slight transparency and minimal beige head. Nose is mostly sour stale malt...but my palate is a little off due to the spicy cookout celebration. Flavor is smooth, mellow, slight choc malt and sweet nuttiness. Very good style and flavor. One of the better "year rounds" from this location. Tmoney99 (14479) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 4, 2006
Draft sampler at Indy. Clear dark brown color with an average off-white head that diminished slowly and had fair lacing. Moderate toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a creamy texture. Medium sweet toasted flavor with a small bitter finish of average duration. ryanfolty (2553) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - FEB 14, 2012

More or less a Newcastle. Pretty nice brown. Nice notes of carmel and nuts. Slightly watery, but would be a nice gateway to craftbeer. Block (2727) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - AUG 19, 2010
Dark brown pour. Light body. Aroma is slightly roasted with a little coffee. A chocolate bitter taste with a slightly acidic finish. AleDrinker (1089) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 20, 2005
Pours brown with tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt. This is quite a malty brown ale with very little sweetness. Quite refreshing. Light body WabashMan (1024) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - NOV 26, 2008
I noticed their beer menu said this was brewed in "the brown porter" style. Another confused brew from Rock Bottom? Perhaps they figured porters wouldn’t sell, but browns appeal to the BMC crowd when they come in? Anyway, this was clearly more a porter than a brown ale, in terms of its flavors. They weren’t very strong, and as a porter it was somewhat weak in flavor, but the common porter flavors were definitely present. Not bad. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Draft at Rock Bottom Indy. From notes. Nutty caramel dominates taste and aroma. Good, but not great.
