Orange and clover malty aromas with just a touch of lacing. CLoudy orangey dark gold color. Sweet clove flavor, very mildly hopped. DocLock (10702) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 1, 2005
Maximus. Hazy diarrhea brown pour with aroma of caramel malt, spices, raisins, figs, brown sugar, toffee. Tastes caramel malty, with figs, molasses, banana, and spices. Great complexity and balance. hopdog (12584) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 22, 2005
On tap at the Rock Bottom in KoP. On the menu as ’Maximus’. Poured a dark and cloudy brown color with a very small off white head. Aromas and tastes of cloves, wheat, and caramel. Listed as 7.6 % but would have never guessed it was that strong. The aroma actually smelled like B-B-Q sauce. I even asked my wife and she agreed. Lightly sweet. dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - APR 28, 2003
Had this at the King of Prussia, Pa location. This was called the "Maximus" at this RB. Good beer. Malt and wheat flavor was matched very well. austinpowers (2828) - San Francisco, California, USA - DEC 4, 2002
Very malty and deliciously wheaty, only with more malt than a traditional german wheat might have. One of Rock Bottom’s better offerings. Legit.
