3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2010 Re-rating for 2010. Barely a hint of chocolate. A far cry from what it was in 09-10. Quite crisp for a stout, but not much better than a Guinness.
On draft at KOP. Pours a dark rusty brown orange with a small off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa and baking chocolate. Taste is much the same as the aroma. Damico (3146) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2010
On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love poured for me, a creamy chocolate milkshake stout. The beer pours like thick dark brown murky mud from a swamp with a decent creamy tan head. The sweet, lactose aroma in the nose is complemented with a decent amount of coffee. The flavor is the lactose again as in a normal sweet stout on top of a delicious creamy smooth body. There are also coffee notes in the flavor as well. TomDecapolis (4636) - Milton, Delaware, USA - DEC 22, 2007
On tap at the KOP location. Pours a deep black with a medium creamy tan head that laced. Aroma of some milk chocolates, lightly roasted malts, touch of caramel and some coffee. Flavor of a mice smooth milk chocolate, roasted malt and some light coffee. A little thin. hopdog (13258) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 21, 2007
