On tap at brewpub. Unfiltered orange with good lacing. Super piney nose, peppery mango. Massively bitter IPA with good medium mouthfeel. Very solid. Honestly this is comparable to Kane Head High, Carton 077, NBCB County Line etc. I don’t think of this as a great brewpub but this is almost certainly an underappreciated beer. reggiedunlop (3724) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 24, 2014
pours a slightly hazy golden/orange with a medium white head...heavy lacing. aroma is a bit subdued but has nice citrus...orange, grapefruit, clementine, tangerine. flavor follows suit...adds some resinous notes...fairly bitter...citrus rind...lots of tangerine. mouthfeel is fairly full and oily with a dry, bitter tangerine/rindy finish. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 30, 2013
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a murky orange with fluffy white head that dissipates quickly and beautiful ringed lace. Nose of orange peel, grapefruit, apricot. Medium to light body. Great citrus and stone fruit flavor and solid bitterness. callmemickey (4543) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 23, 2013
Hazy peach colored body, medium sized creamy white head, soapy lacing. Orange, tangerine, a little grassy and some pine. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, assertive drying bitterness. Very nice citrus forward IPA. PhillyCraft (7225) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 21, 2013
From a keg at Bill’s, pours murky hazy orange with tiny bubbled medium head, aromas of clementine, orange rind, guava, kumquat orange. Taste is bitter hops, orange zest, and tangy hops. Refreshing. Easily the best mall beer I have had the pleasure of trying.

What JFGrind said about little respect for RB because it’s corporate and in the mall. I’ve rated a LOT of IPAs and this is probably in my top 2 or 3. Pale, hazy, loaded with fresh hop aroma and flavors (and nicely bittered). Would take this over Pliny (Younger or Elder). Right now maybe Heady would be my only preferred IPA. It’s unfortunate when beer geeks overlook a brewpub because in their mind it’s too corporate. Rock Bottom may have numerous run of the mill beers on the menu, but this speciality brew really grabbed me. Fresh citrus hops, golden body, frothy head and a deliciousness in a fresh IPA my palate can’t let go. Alcohol on the high side for an IPA, but the total package here is A+. Well done, KOP Rock Bottom! berkshirejohn (6501) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 11, 2012
A very cloudy, amber, pour with a ring of white head - a rather wheat beer like appearance; the aroma is full of rich fruity hops, that follow through to the taste, which is full on hops; then a lingering hoppy finish. A well-balanced IPA that doesn’t force the hops too much.
