On draft. Golden pour with large head. A nice yeastiness to it. A little bit of floral and sweetness on the nose. The rye lends a pretty clean finish. Not bad. I could drink more of this mattyb83 (737) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 5, 2012
Bottle. Murky golden, straw color with nary a white head. Yeasty, slight clove, lemon, and wheat. Not bad, but lets see how this tastes. Taste has loads of cardamom, a little bit of cinnamon, slight lemon juice, wheat, and a yeasty belgian character. Slightly thin, lighter bodied, and a dry finish. Probably the biggest letdown of all the rock bottom bottles I’ve had. Atom (2455) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 5, 2012
Bottle shared by mattyb83 pours a hazy golden/orange with a thin white head. Aroma of orange peel, lemon, and Belgium spice, reminds me of Chef Boyardee Beefaroni. Taste of Belgium spice, no rye, still reminds me of Beefaroni. BVery (10510) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - OCT 2, 2011
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at the Minneapolis Rock Bottom brew pub. Slightly hazy yellow pour. Belgian yeast and spice on the nose - rye not really noticeable in the aroma. Medium-light palate. Belgian yeast, spice, and there’s the rye coming through in the taste. Pretty good stuff.
