This poured a light amber body with and off-white head. Good lacing. The aroma was fruity with some wet hay, a bit of funkiness. It tasted wheaty with touches of orchard fruit, a bit of funk, and a light sourness. Pretty decent, but I think I preferred the original.

Sampled on tap at FoBAB 2011 (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice fairly clear amber pour, good glow with a huge frothy beige head, cakes and laces well. Aromas are flaked wheat, fruity banana and apple ester with touches of straw, barnyard, and cheese. Touches of oak, some gentle sourness, lemons. Initial is medium bodied, a bit sweet with toffee, flaked wheat, fruity esters. Touches of funk and gentle sourness dance, lots of oak, vanilla, some touches of sweet sticky malts. Apple, pear, sweeter with more funkiness coming in on the back mixing with oak, vanilla, hay, straw, barnyard and cobwebs. Interesting. Sweet and bigger into a bretty finish.
