I’ve always enjoyed Blackjack, so that (along with it being brewed by Mr. Wilson) worked in its favor. The body was a thick reddish brown with a slender creamy tan head. The aroma was whiskey and a malty fruitiness. The thick maltiness followed by a subtle bitterness and a hit of alcohol made this a fine after meal sipper. (Note to self: Have a meal occasionally.) This one poured a darker amber to brown color with a beige head. Aroma was a good amount of whiskey, and vanilla barrel nots, some caramel and toffee too. Flavor was almost cloyingly sweet, somewhat syrupy, whiskey laiden with light dark fruits. Decent.
