On tap at the brewpub a few times: It had a deep mahogany body with a smallish head. The aroma had Bourbon, a light roastiness, a bit of vanilla, and a woodiness. Add a hint of dark caramel and more booze to the flavor for a tasty sipper. Horrible name, but a good sipper.
Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured black near black with an off-white yellowish brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was slightly dry with roasted malts, oak, coffee and dark grains. Flavor was much more smooth with dark grains and chocolate in the start backed by a bit of coffee and a hint of vanilla from the barrel. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 13, 2011
draft... dark mahogany, watery, not much to look at... the nose is light bourbon, vanilla, ok but just seems generic ba beer to me... tastes terrible, super watery, all cheap bourbon, overly sweet and wrong vanilla, nothing right... pass
