On tap athe bocktown. Late sunday morning, could have been a better reception....dude-ess. Pretty dark, but not black. Looks like typical dunkelweizen. Plenty of spice inthe smell. First taste is much better than expected. Was thinken this would be overful with spice but its actually much more refined, enjoyable and easy to like, I like these mildly spiced beers if it is mildly spiced that is. Yes, even has an attractive mild tartness in it when you focus a bit. Godd overall beer for a pumpky and well done. Very good sizzle throughout. Overall good beer experience. Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky dark brown color with a medium sized fluffy dark tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tangy sourdough, strong nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. The flavor was tangy, sour and bitter with notes of honey, bread, nutmeg and clove. Long sour and bitter bread and clove finish. On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy brown-orange with a thin white head. Aroma of pumpkin spices- lots of cinnamon (like those cinnamon red hot fireballs), brown sugar, and clove. Flavor of wheat and wheat ale spices (mostly clove, ginger). The cinnamon and pumpkiny flavors are more subdued in the flavor. Still a pretty good pumpkin spice beer, a bit unusual and more wheat-forward.
