right on target with the Milwaukee version except for lighter aroma and heavier lace,
Aroma: 6/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 6/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 11/20
On draft at Bethesda location, have had it numerous times. Liked it today more than ever before. Had a nice caramel/toffee, nuts and fruit. Some light hop bittering. Decent palate. Sweet flavor, but I liked that element. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 16, 2007
On tap (sampler) at the Bethesda location, July 2006. More copper than red. Decent balance of dry malt and earthy hop. Rather reminiscent of an English bitter in character. Quite decent.

Bethesda location. Amber clear appearance. Fruity nose with light to moderate hop presence, mostly a fruit cocktail, pear and lightly toasted grain nose. Flavor is similar, lightly bitter, lightly hoppy pears and marachino cherries. Wet and slick palate, seems to be the standard with Rock Bottom beer. Just drinkable. Indianapolis. Brilliant copper, light nutty-sweet aroma. Nutty/woody exceptionally sweet. Chalky, light cocoa. Nicely balanced, except a little too sweet. Medium body, slight diacetyl finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear orange color with thin off white head that laced the glass. Malty biscuit, caramel aroma. Flavor is similar with a hint of milk chocolate and toasted bread. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - OCT 3, 2006
Draught at Brewpub during RBSG DC 06 Weekend
Copper color, light amber, light head and lacing. Nose of light fruity malt, no hops though. The flavor is balanced, but has no body, no subtle roast and a characterless persona. Uh. Beer5000 (6492) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 3, 2006
On tap @ brewhouse, Campell. Clear chestnut body with a small white head. Mild, malty aroma. Nice, harmonic flavor. Moderate hops, malty sweetness, a bit roasted. Aftertaste have some pleasant bitternes. Terminus (3683) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 26, 2006
tap at brewpub-copper amber with a soapy white head. nice lacing once again from this one. nose is malty with lingering piney hops. flavors are balanced between sweet caramel malts and dry piney hops. well done once again. similar to the pale ale but with more malt presence. finish is sweet with lingering hop accents. very decent and refreshing amber ale. jon112981 (327) - Bristow, Virginia, USA - SEP 2, 2006
Tap. Not a huge fan of reds but this one isn’t bad. Flowery aroma, light and sweet. Very faint hop taste.
