COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Premium British two-row malts give this beer a sweet malty character and plenty of hops give it a crisp finish. Editor's Note: This is one of Rock Bottom's standard brews and is available at many locations.

muzzlehatch (4969) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 5, 2004
Sample in Milwaukee. Dark amber. Light malty nose, hint of tobacco. Refreshing, clean flavor/mouthfeel, big malt front and piney hop finish; caramel and a bit of honey. Better than most at this location.

burgerlicious (308) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - JUN 28, 2004
The body was a medium amber color. It has the taste of a "generic" macrobrew...kind of like a Budweiser. The flavor reminded me more of a witbier than an amber.

jewedekind (450) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 12, 2004
Milwaukee - Large lingering white head over a brown-red beer. Obvious caramel notes, trace of bitterness, some hop character. Nothing special, but no flaws.

argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 2, 2003
(Bethesda) Clear copper body with a beige head. Aroma is floral, malty, light grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, roasty, malty, some floral. Medium body. Very pleasant amber -- good for beginners, and for the rest of us.

PrinceofNessus (236) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - SEP 29, 2003
Dark amber with a slow head. Corny smell, hoppy, a bitter flavor.. a thin palate, and the lingering taste of a few undefined malts. not narsty... but not to interesting either.

This beer is pretty boring. Amber and a little fizzy. Nothing really stands out about it otherwise.

2.6

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2004 1/13/04: From a sampler at the Indy location: I liked this one a little better than the Cincinnati version. Pours a reddish amber color with a medium thin light beige head. Minimal lacing. The aroma is mostly caramel and malt with some hops. Medium body with a subdued malt flavor, as well as a pinch of nuts and caramel. The finish is not that great though.
7/28/03 (2.2): Tasted at the Cincinnati location. Dark amber color with a thin off-white head. Thin lacing. Light sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a bland malt flavor and a somewhat sticky finish. I did not enjoy this one much.

Slight notes of caramel and anice with a thin body and lingering sweet finish.
