Pours a clear amber/golden color with a thin off white head. Aroma has light toasted malts. Flavor follows suit with toasty malts...toffee, caramel, wheaty notes with a touch of earthy/spicy hops. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is earthy/spicy and bitter/dry. Ratman197 (15224) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAY 30, 2011
On tap at Rock Bottom Westminster poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, light earthiness and light fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel and light earthiness with a smooth finish. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 15, 2011
On tap at the brewery, sample. Mildly hazy orange color, white head leaving lace. Almost totally flat, drier texture. Mild bitter fruity taste, coriander. Sweet and bitter spiced taste. Maybe this is what a cask ale is supposed to taste like, I’m not sure, but this is a bit too flat for me. onceblind (10327) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 20, 2012
clear amber with a receding white head. Aroma was a little soft but included some light caramel, light biscuity toffee, and just a faint whiff of grassy hops. Taste is medium bodied and very average. I get some grainy toffee, a little bit of caramel, and a balancing bitterness which I am unable to describe further. Just tastes like a too-balanced average amber ale on a medium body. berkshirejohn (6618) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 12, 2012
Tap at Rock Bottom, King of Prussia, PA. Reddish amber with a tight white head; the aroma is hidden by the incredibly low temperature at which this is served; in the mouth there are lots of fruity berries and some dry grains, before a dry finish. I was expecting an Irish style Red Ale - which this definitely isn’t - but it was a pleasant surprise.

Campbell, 31/08/12. Slim-lidded bronze. Brown toast and marzipan aroma; red apple hints. Could almost be Abbot; cherry boiled sweet and chocolate streaks, orange wine gum. Good dull generic red/brown brew.
Draft. Light caramel malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange caramel malt and mild bitter hay hops flavor. Pretty good. Steve_0 (3744) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 1, 2013
On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear amber with a medium white head and good lacing. Caramelly, bready, grassy, earthy, biscuity, and earthy aroma. Taste is husky, caramel, bready, soapy, lightly grassy, and malty with a crisp finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Not bad. phaleslu (10553) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 19, 2014
Draft at Rock Bottom-Cincinnati. Pours a mostly clear amber color - not really red - with a small off-white head that leaves some streaks of lace. Notes of amber and caramel and toasty malts, grassy hops, and a little earth. Very simple. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. Decent amber. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - MAY 8, 2014
[Tap] Light amber colored pour without much head. Bready malts and mild hops in the nose. The taste is of caramel, toffee, nut, grains and mild hops. Light to medium body. Sweet finish. Nothing wrong with this.
