COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This easy drinking and sessionable brown ale is loaded with American hops like Simcoe and Crystal. The caramel, toffee and roasted characters of the malt balance out the bitterness. A great way to start or end a meal.

From the tap this poured a very dark brown body with a tan head and loads of heavy lace. The aroma had a dark caramel, roasty malt sweetness and strong hop scents of grapefruit, zest, and a hit of pine. The flavor is well balanced, tipping towards the hop bitterness. A dollop of chocolate is added to the maltiness along with some dark toast. The more assertive hops lead you to a dry, mildly bitter finish. Nice job by brewmaster Griffin Ford. And following the menu’s advice, I both started and finished my meal with this brew.
