Editor’s Note: If you had a traditional orange peel and coriander witbier (Belgian Wit, Belgian White, White Ale, or Winter White) from a Rock Bottom brewpub listed at 5.1-5.5% area, it goes under this parent listing.

Pale and with a touch of haze, this ale gets it’s unique flavor from orange peel, coriander, and Belgian yeast.

At the state street location. I’m wondering if this is a little different than the standard corporate recipe, A little more bitter and stronger. Decent white ale full bodied. Serving: Tap

7th Feb 2017: tasted on a flight as ’Belgian Wit’ at the Long Beach location. Not overly impressed. Slight haze to the pour, weak head. Orange and coriander lead in both the nose and taste, watery and pretty bland overall. Sorry, but it lacked ’oomph’ and depth.

On tap at downtown location. Pours a cloudy yellow with small white head. The aroma is pepper, coriander, citrus. Thin mouth, spice, wheat, crisp, good.

Draft in Minneapolis airport. Slightly hazy yellow, lasting head. Aroma is citrus peel, wheat, pepper. Pretty much exactly as you would expect. Wheat base, mild citrus peel, weak yeast presence. Body is pretty thin. Carbonation is normal. For a mass produced chain beer, it is OK.

mzaar (3556) - Varberg, SWEDEN - OCT 19, 2015
Fat @ Rock Bottom, Nashville. Oklar gul öl med ett litet vitt skum. Doftar i och för sig gott av apelsinskal, citrus och örter, men smakar orent. Inslag av gräs, örter och svagt citrus. Torr munkänsla, gräsig beska.

solidfunk (9208) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 4, 2015
Light orange and coriander. They don’t necessarily mesh well together here though. Pours cloudy golden with pretty good head and lacing. Light sweet finish. Some florals and a kind of dusty element. Tap at Bethesda brewpub.

jcnielsen (3413) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAR 30, 2015
On tap at Rock Bottom in Charlotte. Pours a clear golden color with white head. Overtly coriander, spicy aromas with some notes of belgian yeast esters and wheat. Very spicy and coriander strong in flavors also, almost a little tart with some wheat and orange peel. Not good.

notalush (5895) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - MAR 28, 2015
Tap at the Chicago location - fairly bland and watery beer - dry, thankfully, but over spiced - peppery in the mouth, with a lot of herbal soapiness - a lot of citrus zestiness - a nice soft and lightly sweet wheatiness develops late, but just too spiced to be very enjoyable.

Christpuncher (3188) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 25, 2015
Strong orange and coriander start with a sweet band bitter finish. Smells very citruscy. Pours cloudy cream in colorb. Ha a draft at Rock bottom. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 13, 2015
Tap, Seattle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body with a small frothy white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is spice driven, but there’s a light chemical-like note in here, beyond the normal somewhat soapy character that I sometimes get from coriander. The flavor is very thin, focused on the coriander and orange peel, not much in the way of wheat or yeast character. Very short finish. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with fizzy carbonation, a little too heavily filtered. A rather bland and run of the mill Wit.
