7th Feb 2017: tasted on a flight as ’Belgian Wit’ at the Long Beach location. Not overly impressed. Slight haze to the pour, weak head. Draft in Minneapolis airport. Slightly hazy yellow, lasting head. Aroma is citrus peel, wheat, pepper. Pretty much exactly as you would expect. Wheat base, mild citrus peel, weak yeast presence. Fat @ Rock Bottom, Nashville. Oklar gul öl med ett litet vitt skum. Doftar i och för sig gott av apelsinskal, citrus och örter, men smakar orent. Inslag av gräs, örter och svagt citrus. Torr munkänsla, gräsig beska.

On tap at Rock Bottom in Charlotte. Pours a clear golden color with white head. Overtly coriander, spicy aromas with some notes of belgian yeast esters and wheat. Tap at the Chicago location - fairly bland and watery beer - dry, thankfully, but over spiced - peppery in the mouth, with a lot of herbal soapiness - a lot of citrus zestiness - a nice soft and lightly sweet wheatiness develops late, but just too spiced to be very enjoyable. Tap, Seattle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body with a small frothy white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is spice driven, but there’s a light chemical-like note in here, beyond the normal somewhat soapy character that I sometimes get from coriander. The flavor is very thin, focused on the coriander and orange peel, not much in the way of wheat or yeast character. Very short finish. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with fizzy carbonation, a little too heavily filtered. A rather bland and run of the mill Wit.
