Sampled on tap at the brewpub (Lombard, IL). Pours a hazy straw, very murky with a creamy whitish head that dies to a solid film and laces well. Aromas are a light banana feel, flaked white wheat, mellow sweetness with a touch of yeasty spice, minimal, with some light orange rind and coriander in decent doses. Initial is lighter, but still firm on the palate, flaked wheat and cereal grains followed by orange rind, coriander, banana, and a touch of florals or lilac, light yet tasty. This beer is delicate, very drinkable, yet flavorful. Finish is cereal and mellow sweetness with a slight twang of bitterness. Nice. tmoreau (4523) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2009
Sample at the Yorktown RB bar. A hazy, light yellow color, with white foamy head and lace. Aroma was a little grain, spices, and a wisp of coriander. The flavor added light lemon zest, a little sweetness, and low, hop dryness. A refreshing, very light bodied beer that would be well suited for warm weather and craft-intro 101. Lighter yellow color with a citrusy, spicy aroma. Flavor is typical wit with maybe a tad more hops and winter spices. OK for this type of "light" brewpub offering. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 22, 2008

Just barely gold murky yellow color with a thin foamy white head. Aroma is fresh lemon, wheat, clove, citrusy. Lightly clovey upfront some orange citrus. A light easy drinker with a light but full foamy feel.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2008 Mug Club mug. Cloudy yellow with white fluff on top, like an egg. Lemony yeasty smell. Taste has that citrus note that resolves slightly to orange, with notable coriander. I’d think I could spot chamomile in my beer, but not quite here. Nice dry taste, with hops definitely there, though in the background like a good Pilsener. Wheat and oats add to a nice soft texture, and a bit of american wheat taste. A bit light for a winter beer, but very nice. Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - DEC 22, 2007
From the tap this poured a milky, straw colored body with a big sudsy head that laced the glass heavily. The aroma has a soapy yeastiness along with an almost floral bouquet from the coriander and chamomile spicing, followed by a light citric tartness. Very smooth. The coriander and chamomile come across first in the flavor, followed midway by a wheaty tartness and fruity citrus flavors. It finished on a dry, powdery note. Quenching and quaffable.
