Draft on tap at the brewpub (Lombard, IL). Pours a nice golden yellow hue, decent murky haze but bright, a frothy white head that dies to a thicker film, laces lightly. Aromas are a light cereal wheat, touch of pear and banana, coriander, faint spicing, mellow cereal wheat, flaked white wheat. Initial is light wheaty cereal grains, a touch of orange and banana, bready, touch of sweetness, mellow flaked white wheat, light coriander mellows it out. A fairly light wit that has lost it’s identity. It’s mellow, and it’s fruit base is a bit questionable. Not bad, a bit lost on me though. sunevdj (4148) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - AUG 26, 2009
Growler at Chris´grill party. Pours a hazy dark yellow with a small white head. Medium sweetness. Light malt aromas. Grassy hopsnotes with hints of dough and Belgian yeast esters. Also hints of banana. Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. tmoreau (4816) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 4, 2009
Sampler glass at Yorktown. The color was a hazy straw tone with a foamy, white head and good, sticky lacing. The aroma was light notes of malt, grain, ripe apple, spice, and slight hints of lemon zest and caramel. The flavor mimicked the nose resulting in an altogether very light and sessionable brew. Draft at RBY. Pours cloudy yellow with a fizzy head. Nose is phenolic, bananas and cloves. A touch spicy, but it’s really missing out with the citric qualities that are usually in these beers. Too fizzy as well, which makes the body seem thin. I guess I was expecting more coriander (which does finally come out near the end) and a creamier body. Not one of my favorite wits... drewbeerme (3921) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 3, 2008

On tap at RB – Yorktown. Poured hazy lighter golden with a tall, fluffy cap of white head. The aroma picked up sweet and dusty banana and lighter bubblegum with some vegetal undertones.. sweet overall and OK. The flavor had tangy wheat with grainy bananas and lighter fruity sweetness.. pepper and clovey spices at the back.. OK components, but very drinkable. Lighter-bodied with creamy, thick carbonation on the palate.. a bit too effervescent for my liking. kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - MAY 16, 2008
Poursfaintly hazy golden with a thin creamy lacing white head. Aroma is citrus and clove quite rich with a bubblegum notes. A bit biting in the finish medium bodied, hints of clove and bubblegum in the flavor. Nice. User29624 (1687) - - APR 20, 2008
Pours a hazy yellow with a thin white head. Smell has a little bubblegum and citrus to it. Easily drinkable wit. Has a little bit of spice to it, citrus, and it is refreshing. I didn’t sense any of the plum/berry flavors in the description. Walt (2449) - Austin, Texas, USA - APR 15, 2008
Pour is very hazy dark yellow with a thin white head...smell is spicy with coriander and clove and quite sweet...taste is sweet and toasty with a nice lightly spicy finish...well done! Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JUN 30, 2007
Even served in an unfrosted mug, this beer was way too cold to begin with. It’s body is a cloudy yellow/gold and it’s topped by a modest, fizzy white head. The aroma (once it warmed) was wheaty with soft malt and a citric twist. Even warmer, a touch of bubblegum joins the fray. The mouthfeel is a touch more harsh than is usual with this style. It tastes of wheat flakes, bubblegum, lemongrass, and a soapy spiciness. Refreshing. An interesting interpretation of the style.
