Sampled at the brewpub bar, displaying a hazed, deep, orange/amber color, with modest, off white head foam, and a light coating of spotty lacing. The nose was grain/wheat, and more of an overly ripe fruit scent than perfumey ginger. A touch of spice, brown sugar sweetness, and some light alcohol rounded out the aroma. The flavor was similar, continued the alcohol, and added some moderate hop bitterness, smooth malt, and soft carbonation to the medium- body. Interesting, but a little on the muddled side for my tastes.
