Sampled at MO Beer Fest. Black with brown highlights and a beige head. I smell grain andchocolate. First sip is dark fruit with chocolate syrup. Grain with a hint of rye. It is dry with a roasted effect. Not bad. EtTuCthulhu (1391) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAR 12, 2014
The appearance is an opaque black color with a small tan head, and the aroma blends roasted malts with caramel malts. The taste is mildly sour and mildly umami, but some sweetness comes through after the initial taste floods the mouth; the palate has a slick texture soft carbonation, medium body, and a long roasty finish.
