Great spicy and sweet aroma with a good dose of Falconer’s Flight. Light orange color with a large ivory colored head. The taste is heavy rye with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Spicy and hoppy at the same time. Good dense palate. This is really good. jackl (8300) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 14, 2017
Keg @ GTMW ’16. Gold pour with a small head. Nice rye character on the nose. Expressive, spicy grain with some hints of lemon and general bucolic floral notes. Flavor is crisp. Some spicy rye and bread. Orange slices and a bit of caramel. Medium body, soft carb. Very solid number. RobertDale (6755) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - MAY 6, 2016
Sample at Parkville MIcrobrew Fest 2016. Comes a hazy golden orange with a decent white head. Aroma of citrus, malt, and pine. Taste is citrus, pine, malt, and grain. Pretty darn good. Suttree (6484) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 8, 2015
From a can. Cloudy orange, nice white head. Smells like rye toast, with some green, grassy notes.Nicely dry, with woody, toasty flavors. Resin, piney bitterness. Clean finish. rumproasts (5588) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUL 16, 2015
Can. Golden orange with one finger head. Caramel base with medium rye and citrus hops. Average, perhaps a bit above.

16 oz can. Murky and coppery-orange with a smallish head. Aroma is kind of earthy, and of rye. Rye is obvious from the get-go, but it’s not overwhelming, providing taste, but almost no rye spiciness. Orange, citrus hops with a decent sweetness to balance. Palate is a little bit watery. One of the more unique rye beers I’ve tried in that the rye taste is there with almost none of the spice. It’s good. edgallow (4376) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 20, 2015
Draft sampler pours Amber with a off white head. Aroma of citrus, pine and malts. Taste is malts, citrus and caramel. hayduke (5619) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 29, 2015
Thanks to Doran the was sent to me in trade. This poured from the 16 oz can a hazy golden orange color with a beige head and excellent lacing. Attractive. Nose is rye, tropical fruit and citrus and floral hops. Medium in body with a resinous mouth feel. Flavor is rich with the rye and tropical fruit in good balance and the finish is big on the tropical fruit and nicely bitter. Really nice. wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Tasted on 12/12/14 from a 16oz can, thanks to Shea. Pours hazy burnt auburn with an average beige head that slowly recedes to fairly thick, sticky lace. The nose is a cool blend of spicy, cereal rye with a lightly fruity, earthy green hops aroma. The flavor is nicely balanced with even more fruity hops, nice spice and earthiness balancing. The body is medium with average, smooth carbonation, and a long fruity, bitter, and spicy finish. Bartzilla (623) - La Mesa, California, USA - NOV 7, 2014
Pretty good ipa. Doesn’t taste like a 7%. Hits clean, but after a few minutes you get a bit of malt. Not a problem. My slacking on drinking shouldn’t matter in the review of a beer. This is a super solid and good ipa. Just not the best after you faded out and woke back up and started drinking again.
