Brewed from all malt, with no corn adjunct, Rock River offers a full, rich mouthfeel, balanced by plenty of fresh-tasting Continental hop aroma, satisfying complex, yet easy to enjoy.

Pours is yellow with no head. No aroma and no taste at all. I could be drinking water and could not tell any difference.

BeerandBlues2 (13814) - Escondido, California, USA - NOV 30, 2004
Pours gold with very thin white head. Aroma is of hops and some sour malt and yeast. Flavor is flat with malt notes and a hop bitterness. Palate is light and crisp.

TJackHole (83) - Alabama, USA - OCT 28, 2004
a bit of a spice to the aroma is about the only appealing quality to this brew. flavor is lack.ing, too sweet and the appearence is much the same as budweiser

AlchemistZ (493) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - SEP 28, 2004
Deep gold color, white head. Cola nut-like aroma, very bland. Dried out malt and a sweet finish make for an unpleasant beer. A sweet, ginger ale like flavor. High carbonation level is biting.

mickblueeyes (106) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 11, 2004
This Lager is translucent gold with a light, fizzy white head. The nose is simplistic with light hoppiness and a touch of toasted malt. The palate is as simplistic as the nose with rather ordinary malt character and a hint of copper. The finish is almost nonexistent, but some lemony hops crisply round out this summer beer.

darkerdabetter (255) - Michigan, USA - JUL 10, 2004
Very light and boring, not much flavor at all. Other than the acidic aftertaste, I’ve had water with more flavor than this.

5/10/’04 They are selling this in a wooden box as "Historic Beers" My reasearch here at Ratebeer informs me this company has been out of business for two years!!!!! The creditors figured they could repackage it, haul it to where no one knows about the brewery being out of business and market a bunch of stale, out of date product and recoup some of their losses. Tastes like an old, average, American Light Lager. No Vienna here anyway.

kujo9 (1095) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - APR 28, 2004
Very light amber w/ a short lived white head. Sweet malty aroma w/ hints of DMS and acetaldehyde. Although if it weren’t for the off aromas, it wouldn’t be very interesting. Sweet malty & balanced as such, finish is malty and crisp w/ a light acidity and some green apple fruitiness. Light medium body and a bit of an acidic carbonic acid bite from the higher carbonation. More flavorful than some lagers, but not very exciting. Not a bad lawnmower beer.

Suttree (6505) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 4, 2004
Dark gold, nice big white head. Faint aroma. Sweetish flavors - malty slightly fruity. Not much hop flavor. Just too sweet.

Wiseblood (700) - Clarksville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 29, 2004
Deep yellowish gold with a big white head. Other than that, this was pretty unremarkable. Thin with a sweet metallic flavor. Water probably would have been a better choice.
