Brewed from all malt, with no corn adjunct, Rock River offers a full, rich mouthfeel, balanced by plenty of fresh-tasting Continental hop aroma, satisfying complex, yet easy to enjoy.

Uninteresting, bland, boring beer. Not overly bad, but certainly not very good. Not even close to the "best american pilsner". More like, most ordinary american pilsner.

This is horrible. How do I count the ways? Thin awfully sour malt flavor, tons of corn, no hops blah. An absolute drain pour.

krisbierjaeger (844) - dolores, Colorado, USA - DEC 30, 2002
apricot golden with a smudge of haze, butter colored head muscles up to a half inch, then settles to the thickness of cigarette paper. peach and orange caramel malts, even a touch of pulp from ruby grapefruit in a good full aroma. a dried-blood metallic sour effect is noted, but it’s too remote to be unpleasant. orange danish, with sweetness moderated by a shallow speedbump of hops. very tasty in a light bodied refreshment, tho the finish is only the briefest reminder of orange seeds.

This is NOT a Vienna, but is the best American Pilsner I’ve had. Hoppy/vegetal aroma, deep gold color, short-lasting head. Hops dominate the malt, as they should in a Pilsner, clean finish, overall a good beer that I would try again.

Not overly impressive. A hoppy nose and a trace of malt. No head and and light bodied. Drinkable but not much else to say. Keeep looking.

Below average. Thin, uneventful and boring. No redemption.................

This skunk was run over last week by a Peterbuilt. Tasteless crap produced by a Sams Club payoff seasonal company. They built tents before they brewed. NICE!!!!

The beer was good.... it was a little cloudy for expecting a larger, the taste was smooth and easy and even favorful. Yet, over all it didn’t jump out and grab me as a favorite.

Indra (2711) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - MAR 2, 2002
Sweet, lightly malty aroma. Ok carbonation, but head fades quickly. Dark golden hue. Flavor mostly consists of this sweet maltiness found in the aroma, but has a tad of hops for the finish. I’ve had worse lagers, but the sweetness kind of rules out my recommendation of this beer to beer geeks.

Mine had poor head retention; nice gold color though. Quite a bit of sweetness, maybe too much for such a ’light’ beer. Hops were a little stark; some bitterness. I also detected a little ’metallic’ off flavor that I didn’t care for. Not necessarily a bad beer, but not very impressive either.
