Aroma has nice roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, nice bourbon, too. Flavor starts with that sweet bourbon, then fades and let’s the lightly roasted malts, chocolate, molasses, and light earthy hops slide in. Finishes sticky and sweet. Real nice. 12oz draft. Black pour, not much head but good lacing. Aroma is beechwood smoke and malt. Taste light coffee and chocolate malts with lots of smoke, but there is enough balance it didn't go bacony. Solid body. Overall, the first smoked malt beer that I actually liked. Smoke works with the brew instead of overpowering it.

Tap from brewpub. Nose is sweet with some smoke. Vanilla coffee molasses. Mouth is similar with smokey finish that lasts. Great beer. Pours nearly black with thin head and very long lacing Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAY 29, 2012
Mahogany colour with a tan head and lace. Subtle smokey syrup like aroma. Strong smoked, earth wood flavour. Smooth finish.
