A lightly hazed amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, caramel malt with fruity berries, floral hops, nice. In mouth, cooling caramel malt with loads of alcohol, fruity citrusy hops, nice and classic. Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 28, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 16, 2012 On tap at brewpub, pours a dark ruby red with a nice white head and some lace. Smell is of oak, caramel and booze. First sip was of booze almost like a single malt whiskey. After you have first sip it is very smooth and blends together well. Very interesting and complex imperial red. Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - SEP 8, 2012
Deep ruby colour with a fantastic head and clinging lace. Roasted malt, vanilla, oak and nutty flavour. Inviting aroma. Gorgeous beer. Go slow with this baby and spend all night with her. Extremely tasty brew. JoeMcPhee (9517) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 8, 2012
Deep ruddy amber/red pour. The nose is bright and a little peppery with some intense barrel/vanilla character and a lovely oaky vineousness. Berryish with an intense hoppy nose and some cascade-type fruitiness. A little bit of vanilla character. Incredible complexity with a great intense chewiness. Really, really awesome stuff. Was not expecting this quality here but I’m incredibly happy to see it.
