Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a combination of citrus and pine with a hint of resin and a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has pine up front with growing citrus and a light grain backbone. My Bottom Line:Scopey (15427) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 19, 2015
Tropical fruit meet salty minerals in this lean and refreshing New World IPA.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam laces around the misty blond.
-The salty notes are surprising but highly agreeable.
-The fruitiness is rather citrusy as well.
-The soft bubbling and slender mouthfeel increase drinkability.
-This one is getting better ratings than this brewer’s English-style ales, but it is probably because citrusy IPAs are in vogue. His Stout and ESB deserve as many, if not more, accolades, imho.
On tap at the brewpub.
Keg at the brewpub. It pours clear amber with a small beige head. The nose is soft, sweet, juicy, orange muffin, lilt, candied peel, mango and passion fruit. The taste is nicely bitter, oily, pine, resin, peppery, grapefruit rind, light alcohol, bread, cereal and toasty grass with a lingering bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Punchy and well-made. Juicy aroma. Good brewpub IPA. rejtable (2818) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 22, 2015

Dagnabbit! This was a great find of the day! A fine looking, delicious tasting banger of a taste-wizard a knockin’. Rather light yellowish copper with a potent white skull-cap. Extremely piney with caramel malt and citrus notes as well drift nostrilwards. The taste is brilliantly fresh and piney but also with a smooth sweetness keeping it balanced. Mid-low carbonation and a healthy mid-heavy body make this a great IPA!

What a great IPA, never even new it was that strong either. Poured a clear light amber with tiny head. Aroma was incredible, with smells of mango, citrus, pine, and peach. Tasted of peach, pine, grapefruit, and caramel malts. Strong hop presence but good balancing of malts too. Had a medium chewy body with average carbonation and a great bitterness. monk191 (2023) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 31, 2014
A very nice IPA. Pours an ugly clear yellow. Smells awesome, perfectly balanced hops with some tropical fruit and lots of peach. Taste is very well balanced, with some hops mixed with the peach. More IPA-like then the Rogue’s Roost IPA. Had on tap at the brewpub. UXO (1896) - CANADA - JUN 20, 2014
(Tasting flight) Pours a slightly hazy light gold with minimal head and spotty lacing. Big citrusy nose with grapefruit and pine resin. Taste is similar against a pleasant caramel malt background. Mouth feel is on the light side but sufficient for the style. mr_altbier (7) - - JUN 12, 2014 does not count
ImPA (15) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - FEB 15, 2014
Overall this one is really hard to beat. I haven’t found any IPA in the region that is available on a regular basis that comes close to it. Please please please put this in bottles on the NSLC shelves! Hops! Through and through, fruity, juicy, well balanced malt backend, long finish with a firm bitterness that seems just perfect. I might prefer it with slightly less malt character, otherwise, such a delightful and easy drinking IPA. I want one now.
