2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Rockbottom brewery in Halifax. After having the rock bottom classic ale I assumed the red would be a similar counterpart. The red was full of roasted malt and bold aftertaste. I found the red a tad spicy, not much different then the red at Rouges Roost down the street.
A clear amber beer with a sweet smell. A slightly burnt under taste. Citrus and malt. Toffee/carmel? Wordsworth (147) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 28, 2013
Draft pour at Denver location. Pours amber with a thin white head and minimal lacing. Smells nutty and roasty. Tastes boldly roasted with a malty finish. I'm not a fan of reds usually but this isn't bad. The palate is pretty simple though. jsmerig (1590) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2013
Pours a clear amber red with good lacing. Aroma is malty with a touch of nutty. Taste is smokey with notes of berries finishing with pronounced hop bitterness.

Tap at DM). Deep red copper body with traces of a thin white head. Nose of oranges and leather. There is a sweaty leather finish with orange peel. The finish is off like old oj.

Poured at Rockbottom in Ballston, VA. Reddish amber color with a nice head. Lacing coats nicely. This beer tastes a bit malty and the finish is somewhat chalky. Not a bad brew but does not stand out. TomTiedemann (250) - Levittown, New York, USA - DEC 14, 2010
