This is a new twist on one of our Flagship beers, the Astronut Brown Ale. It’s still the same much loved classic recipe, only this time we’ve added to all that nutty goodness with a not-so-secret ingredient…a healthy dollop of peanut butter! This one will satisfy the sweet tooth in all of us without even picking up a candy bar…unless you count the intergalactic trip your taste buds will take straight to the Milky Way!

Black/brown pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is briny peanut butter. Flavor is sweet peanut butter, earthy notes. A sweet finish with a flat light bitter. Good carbonation and smooth. Unique and tasty.

On tap @ Rocket Republic. As with the base beer, a dark amber colored beer with some khaki foam. Has a bit more of an interesting aroma and flavor to it. Somewhat nutty, more than the base, anyway. Light roast and coffee bitterness. Some hints of caramel, lots of bread, and toffee. Doesn’t have the acidic character the base does, thankfully. Not necessarily a huge peanut butter character, but I guess it’s there.

Draft. It was dark brown and poured with very small tan head. The aroma is roasted malts and nuts. The taste is slightly sweeter than astronut brown. Still well balanced.

Beginner. Enjoyed the addition of PB to beer I wouldn’t ordinarily enjoy as much. Smooth, not overpowering. Clean finish.
