Appearance: Medium reddish brown. Hazy. Finger of tan foam.
Nose: dark stone fruit, caramel, sweet malt, Belgian yeasts and a touch of toastiness
Taste: initially sweet malt with black cherries and caramel. A little yeasty throughout with alcohol and wheat toast
Body: medium to fuller. Soft carbonation
Parting thoughts: quite a fantastic dubbel. I like quite a few of rockmill’s product line. they do Belgian styles correctly.

Other flavors match the aroma. tmoreau (4593) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAY 16, 2015
On tap at Warren’s Ale House in Wheaton, IL., showing a hazed, mid-amber color, with a presentable layer of off white head froth, and ribbony cling to the lacing. The nose was light graininess, dried fruit as apricot & peach, with subtle spice, and a hint of caramel sweetness. The taste was similar notes, including a bit more sweetness, some alcohol warmth, tanginess, and low, earthy bitterness. A bit of watery texture, and fair to soft carbonation skewed a hopeful perception of the body to less than medium. Okay, but dull hued, somewhat thin, not too complex, and basically,... not very Dubbel-ish. weihenweizen (4044) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JAN 10, 2015
