Pours a cloudy golden honey color. Thick foamy head that lasts. The nose is inviting with hints of clover, honey and citrus. Palate is tart and sour with a punch of hops and citrus. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

~6oz pour from a bottle, at the brewery. Totally hazy orange amber color. Thin off-white head. Good ropes and dots of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation, with a fuller body. Great fruity, tropical, light rind citrus, light grapefruit aromatic. Good, complex hop character for a saison. Light caramel malt, but it’s not unpleasant. Good bigger bitter taste, lighter sweet; love the taste on this. Above average bitterness. Awesome saison.

A hazy, apple cider appearance with an overflowing cream colored foamy head. Had to wait a while for it to drop before I could drink. A nice sweet, yeasty, fruity aroma; sugared apples and bananas, spices, yeast. The flavor matches the aroma though the apple component seems a touch sharper than the other components. A very active moutfhfeel. Overall, fair.

8/06/2011: Rockmill Saison Organic Farmhouse Ale... Aroma: Dried citrus peel (grapefruit and orange) and fruits (apricot, orange, peach); really subtle spice (cinnamon or allspice). Appearance: Molten sulfur (very murky); very dull, dark gold color; really large bubbly beige head; very lively. Flavor: Floral and soapy with dried citrus and fruit (plum, pear); biscuit malt and spicy Belgian yeast; alcohol venting in the finish. Palate: Medium-bodied; good level of carbonation; smooth. Overall: Pretty good American-style Saison, but more complexity would be appreciated.

1 pint 9.4 fl. oz. bottle (6.5% Alc/Vol) shared by drjohnrock. Thanks John! Rating #36 for this beer.

Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 10, 2013
In short: A problematic awkwardly fruity blond ale with a synthetic character. Bad.
How: 750ml bottle, shared by Montreal friends, fresh, less than a month after purchase.
The look: Cloudy blonde-orange body topped by a medium beige head.
In long: Nose is abnormally strong fruity esters next to opened bottles in a medicine cabinet. Not an inviting aroma. Taste does not improve anything. Crushed aspirins, canned tropical fruits, lemons, cray and more cray, banana peels, medicinal notes. Lack of malts, feels like a yeast soup. Carbonation is excessive. A complete train wreck, not sure what to make of this. In Hell, serial killers live many, many floors above people who make beer like this one.

Positive for the organic part. IT is a light, non-offensive saison that goes down nicely.

750 ml bottle from Dutch’s in Cinci. Amber like color. Bit dark for me in color. Light carbonation. Slightly sweet with fruit esters and some spice. Slight taste of apple.

Bottle @ our annual Christmas night bottle share... Poured vibrant, golden with a nice white head. A nice and pleasant saison. Quite balanced. Earthy with yeast spice and esters. Wheated malts with black pepper spice and grassy earthiness.

Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - NOV 28, 2012
Bottle thanks to Jstax! Pours a slightly hazy orange gold color with a lively 3 finger sticky foam. On the nose there is some nice fruit pear, rustic yeast, pepper and a bit of grass. The palate follows suit with a nice balance between sweet fruit, peppery spice and some earthy hay and straw peaking through to keep it on the farm. Nice beer and will search out more from this brewery.
