Hazy orange color with a huge long lasting frothy head. Aroma of yeast and spices. Taste is medium bitterness, medium body, slick feel, lively, and very dry. Good. superspak (5887) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JAN 9, 2014
750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 8/16/2013. Pours lightly hazy orange amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with plenty of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big orange, pear, apple, apricot, lemon zest, clove, pepper, light bubblegum, bread, honey, herbal, floral, grass, straw, and yeast earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of big fruity/spicy yeast, malt, and hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big orange, pear, apricot, apple, lemon zest, clove, pepper, light bubblegum, honey, bread, herbal, floral, grass, straw, and yeast earthiness. Big earthy/spicy yeast flavors on the finish; with lingering notes of orange, pear, apricot, apple, lemon zest, clove, pepper, honey, bread, herbal, grass, straw, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity and balance of big fruity/spicy yeast esters with moderate malt and hop flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth, crisp, and moderately prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic saison! All around awesome balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, malt, and hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering. steelhead3686 (270) - Jacksonville, North Carolina, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Pours a clear gold with a large white head. It has the a citrus hops aroma with some herbs and a hint of hay-like malt aroma as well. This beer is delicious! It has a wonderful balance of bitter and sweet and I could actually feel the struggle between the two. The body is a solid medium with a slightly sticky texture, very pleasant carbonation, and a nice bitter finish. This is a great beer, and I love the fact that I could drive 35-45min and see the brewery. I hope Rockmill sticks around and continues to grow! rondphoto (4490) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - FEB 8, 2014
guest sample @ Party Town / Florence KY Easily the best of the Rockmill brews I sampled. Aroma of pastures and fresh spring air. Cloudy golden amber with a full 2" head that never leaves, lace that slides back into the drink. Taste is wheat, hay, and malt with a pinch of light fresh spice, adding sweet caramel as it literally bursts into the palate. Just enough bittering to balance arrives in a satisfying finish. An exceptional example of the style. bluejacket74 (1995) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - DEC 12, 2010
750 ml corked and caged bottle, purchased at a tasting event at the brewery last weekend. Served in a tulip glass, the beer pours a hazy orange/amber color with about an inch and a half off-white head. Head retention is good, with a lot of lacing left on the glass, too. The brew smells like bready malt, Belgian yeast, orange peel, peppery spice, pineapple and lemon. It’s a nice spicy and fruity aroma. It tastes like peppery spice, lemon peel, bready malt, yeast and some earthy hops. Good earthy/spicy finish. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s well carbonated and a bit dry. Drinkability is good, it’s certainly easy and enjoyable to drink. I think this is a good overall brew, another quality Rockmill beer in my opinion. I wouldn’t have any problems buying this again.

Lots of pressure under the cork...loud pop! Pours a hazy honey/amber with a huge foamy white head...very nice retention. Aroma has some wheaty spicy notes...a bit of leather and pepper...a faint soapy note. Flavor has lots of spice...peppery...nice leathery notes. Mouthfeel is medium and super lively with a dry spicy/yeasty finish. b33r (875) - Ohio, USA - JUL 13, 2012
Bright gold color with big white head. This is a sweet & grassy and I loved it. A lot of spicy, citric, bitter notes make it pretty complex, but balanced. Definitely my favorite of Rockmill’s selection. Stilll expensive though :( Pauljbrockman (39) - USA - NOV 17, 2013
Pours a cloudy golden honey color. Thick foamy head that lasts. The nose is inviting with hints of clover, honey and citrus. Palate is tart and sour with a punch of hops and citrus.

Clear golden with a mammoth pillowy white head. Aroma is quite wine like with fruits and Belgian yeast spices. Medium, well carbonated body. Flavor has nice Belgian spice, fruits, herbal hops, and a bit of rock sugar. Well made and quite enjoyable. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 17, 2013
~6oz pour from a bottle, at the brewery. Totally hazy orange amber color. Thin off-white head. Good ropes and dots of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation, with a fuller body. Great fruity, tropical, light rind citrus, light grapefruit aromatic. Good, complex hop character for a saison. Light caramel malt, but it’s not unpleasant. Good bigger bitter taste, lighter sweet; love the taste on this. Above average bitterness. Awesome saison.
