Words can’t really describe this beer. Incredible aroma, incredible flavor--you taste cranberries and cherries, and just the right amount of sour. falco242 (398) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 31, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2014 Remarkable. This beer is just too close to perfect. Tangy sour aroma and taste is full of cherry and oak. Lots of fruit in the taste too. Incredibly well balanced. I can?t praise this enough. My first perfect 5. kolymaTram (17) - brussels, BELGIUM - APR 29, 2014
undescribable? A very fruity ’simple’ Rodenbach. Best i ever had, at cellar temp, makes the taste even smoother huineman (690) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAY 31, 2015
Pours dark ruby with short-lived tan head.
Aroma is raspberry, cherry, strawberry, hibiscus and milk chocolate.
Very vinous, very dry and very sour, with no bitterness whatsoever. ABUSEDGOAT (2756) - California, USA - NOV 19, 2015
UPDATED: MAY 22, 2017 Cloudy reddish brown colored, moderate head, good lace/retention. Aroma is fruity with notes of strong cranberry and raspberry, but also sour cherry. The usual notes you’d expect like vinegar and oak barrel are present as well, this is Rodenbach we are talking about. Medium bodied, moderate to high acidity with a fruity sweetness to match it; it certainly has Caractere. Alexstrasza is the ’red’ (get it?) dragon that brings life and hope, this gives me hope that Palm will bring life to more great sours. An absolute world beater. The best beer I have ever had. If you read this please send me a bottle of Alexander and I’ll make it worth your time. EDIT: Despite Alexander’s history and reputation, this is better. Related: send me this instead. :)

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2013 Bottle (Batch 1)... This beer rocks!… Cloudy caramel-colored ale with orange highlights and a small fizzy, off-white head that never fully dissipates. The bouquet is crazy fruity; providing cherries, loads of acidity, caramel, vanilla, raspberry and red currants with a light splash of pinot noir vinegar. Medium to full bodied and super creamy with prickly carbonation. The flavor is every bit as fantastic as Alexander, but so much more fruity. Both acidic and acetic, this brew presents notes of caramel, raspberry and cherry, accompanied by a dainty splash of red wine vinegar. Sour, fruity, puckering finish. Mathieu87 provided this world class bottle of beer! Xenon (138) - Cary, North Carolina, USA - NOV 28, 2013
This is only the 3rd sour or so I’ve had, but this could be the one to get me into them. Medium clear cranberry color with a very thin head that remains. Does not taste Like a beer but feels like one to drink. Each of the cranberry, cherry, and raspberry flavors are easily found and very prominent. The motufeel is dominated by the tannins from the oak barrels which gives it that stinging and tart feel. Almost sweet like a soda for a second with all the fruit flavors then the sour takes over with the sting. I can’t really yell the hops and malts because I am not really familiar wiith sours. This was really enjoyable like a good wine. daafisch (46) - New York, USA - JUL 25, 2014
Deep red color, minimal head. Aroma of cranberries, raspberries and slight oak. Taste is a smooth combination of cranberry and raspberry with a drier oak finish. One of, if not my favorite beer. krumbum (1109) - truckee, California, USA - MAR 31, 2015
Huge aromas of sour berries and cherries. Lovely burnt amer color tiny bubble ring of head. Wonderfully tart raspberry and cherries long lasting slow fades. Smooth for how Sharp the berry tartness is.
