4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
An absolutely astonishing and suprising beer. Not at all what I expected from the Rodenbach name. This beer has elements of Rodenbach but also is very much like a fruit lambic. Nose is strong with the typical Rodenbach character and a touch of cherry and cranberry. It isn’t until you taste the beer that its full power becomes apparent. Quite acidic but extremely well balanced. More like an american sour than the typical flemish red it has far less of the vinegar notes in a typical rodenbach. Instead the back half the the beer is dominated by huge notes of cranberry, cherry and raspberry. Moderately sweet but sour enough to achieve near perfect balance, this beer is really only lacking in the nose, and note because the nose is bad in any ways, but just because it simply doesn’t match the incredible flavor. Probably the best Rodenbach I have ever had, and I’ve had them all at this point. Huge thanks to hopscotch for sharing this.
75cl bottle. cloudy red/orange color. small white/pink head. raspberry, cherries, vinegar, caramel. very nice tartness. well balanced. high bitterness with medium carbonation. great! rumore (649) - Rimini, ITALY - SEP 20, 2017
From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours intense red with limited pink foam. Aroma is intense cherries. Body is fairly light, feeling almost like a drink. Taste is an enjoyable combination of sweet and sour, the former coming soon, and the latter more afterwards. Finish is short and clean. Bule (2228) - California, USA - SEP 17, 2017

Ran into a problem having 4 beer club members. It's like having an even number of city council members. We had to have a tie breaker broken u twice.

750ml bottle shared at epic Cantillon. Aroma: extremely vinegar, acetic, medicinal, strawberries and raspberries, wood. App: light burgundy, minimal white head, little lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, really acetic, moderate high acidity finish. Overall: meh. Not impressed. So acetic. Meh. Doesn't deserve this hype angel77 (3684) - oviedo, SPAIN - SEP 9, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2017 Caña en t Brugs beertje, Brugge 09..09..2017. (r798). DavidSvinth (156) - DENMARK - SEP 8, 2017
