A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

This is my second sour beer and second rodenbach. Still too early for me. Tried this on tap at the Bier Markt.

Pours a two finger light tan head that fades quickly to a ring leaving no lace. Murky brown/amber color some yeast left in bottle. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Sour vinegar nose and flavor is oak and sour apple with hints of sweetness $4.50 for a 330ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

Red/brown thin silky head taste cherry tarte cider vinegar oakcomes through big time in the finish a beer to go with food. Something French and classic would work with this.

not a huge fan of this one. The sourness tastes kind of synthetic and cheap to me, and the supposedly orthogonal vector of sweetness is of a nauseating sort. I sense a lot of similarities to the Belle-vue Gueze which yall rightly panned so I dont see what is seen here

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with little head. Sweet sherry vinegar, brown sugar, lots of dried fruit, figs, raisins, lots from that oak. Complex, tart, delicious.

W aromacie czerwone wino, czerwone owoce, lekki ocet winny. W smaku kwaśno, lekkie czerwone wino, czerwona porzeczka. Kolor czerwono brązowy, piana niewielka, dobrze się utrzymująca, klarowne. Musujące, lekkie, orzeźwiające.

Red, clear. Minimal head. Acetic acid, dried fruit, wood, red wine in aroma. In taste good balance between sour and sweets, really complex. Average carbonated.

Aroma is mostly sour apple; smells like a malty apple cider vinegar. The oak is subtle, perhaps just a bit of vanilla mellowness. Appearance is a fairly dark brown, with a pronounced cloudiness and an average sized light tan head. Taste is fairly sour, with a touch of sweetness; not much bitterness- just sour. Palate includes a medium body, average carbonation, long, persistent sour fruit finish. Overall a different and pretty good beer.

Bottle from Wine Rack, West Byfleet. Pungent champagne, yeast and floral aroma. An opaque toffee chestnut. Thin off-white head circles the rim of the glass. Sour. Gets stronger in to the finish. Grapes, raisins, plugs, stewed fruits. Even a metallic tone. Light in body but more fulsome in texture. Oily. Some fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. A hint of the ABV on the tonguew. On first sip its all about the sourness before developing into a satisfying refresher.
