From a bottle into a wine glass. Pours dark brown with light brown head that recedes quickly. Nose is dark dried fruit, raisins, plum, grapes, molasses, hint of funk, some mustiness. Medium body, acidic, high carbonation, sweet. Lingering fruits, and a hint of vinegar. Freaky_tiki (1400) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 28, 2017
Bottle from LCBO. Perfect timing for this beer. Unimpressive looking in the glass. But pretty dreamy pace you dig in. Sour cherries, tart lemon, vinegar & herbal malts. World class beer & I have nothing but regret that I only bought one bottle. Thunderverb (125) - Visby, SWEDEN - OCT 27, 2017

Rodenbach Grand Cru, to mieszanka składająca się z 1/3 młodego piwa i z 2/3 z piwa leżakowanego przez 18 miesięcy w dębowych beczkach. Ciekawy to zabieg... Barwa brązowa, spore zmętnienie. Piana całkiem obfita, niemal biała. W aromacie nuty winne, owocowe. Dość szczególny klimat. W smaku podobnie, są nuty winne, jest sporo owoców. Jest też ogólnie słodko-kwaśny charakter. Gdzieś też w tle posmaki drewna też się czają... Wysycenie średnie. Ogólnie wybitnie pijalne, bardzo smaczne! slire (3) - - OCT 15, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2017 asked for a sour but not fruity beer, and found this one. not as dry as gueuze, not too sour - perfect in overall taste. the notes are not perfect though. said to be a type-beer for flanders red ale style beermonster1989 (21) - - OCT 14, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2017 Slightly sour with a hint of cherries . The taste needs a moments reflection and to be held in the mouth for a while. The sourness really works making it both substantive in quality and refreshing. Served in a wine glass shaped glass it is a worthy contribution the pantheon of Belgian beer. UPDATED: OCT 14, 2017 First impressions:like sucking sour black cherries through a dead vole (that had died whilst feasting on limes). By sip no 12, the taste softens and the sweetness of the cherries nicely contrasts the sour notes of the cheeries. An unexpected beer. Beguiling. But for all that, a bit of a ladies drink with us fine stemmed class and sophisticated palette. Nice. beskid (419) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - OCT 10, 2017
Dark red-brown, tiny head ring. Aroma is sour, light funk, tart cherries, red currant, red wine, hint of vinegar. Taste is lightly sweet, lightly sour, red fruits and oak, a little bit of funk; very elegant beer.
