A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Deep mahogany with a small head. Aroma is cherry , cherry bonbons, chocolate. Body is medium, texture thin, carbon well. Taste is sour. Palate with sour tones like a mixture of different cherries, but also oak wood and some medicine. [email protected]

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2018 Bright red with some froth around the edges. Aroma of sour cherries, vinegar and red wine. Taste is sharp, sour and funky. Lots of vinegar again, but also smooth and woody. Cherries and raspberries are the dominant fruit flavours, however there are definitely some other subtle fruit flavours there too. Super sharpness leaves a tingling in the mouth. Truly fantastic brew.

Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. This is an instant smile beer. A sour beer that I could just keep drinking by the gallon as it is never too much. That might place it under the more spectacular beers of Cabgillion/ 3 font but I'd choose rodenach for the long haul. Murky colour.

I bought a few bottles at two different time of the year... Was expecting, at least something "good". They all have a strong vinegar pronounced taste. They all ended up in the toilette. I couldn't even drink that. And believe be, I drink lots of beer type like Rusian Stout, barley wines, lots of Belgiun and other imported beer... I know my beer. This one is terrible.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2018 Wytrawne, posmaki winne, długi finisz. Barwa ciemno brunatna. Nagazowanie dość duze, piana zanika ale nie do końca, pozostaje na ściankach. Bardzo fajne piwo.

One pint nine ounce bottle poured at home. When the cork was popped the smell was of tart cherry with a look and nose like tawny port. Khaki head and woody yeasty notes to go with acidic dark dried fruit. Tart up from that finishes like cherry and dried fruit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: Pours hazy brown with a quite thin off-white head, no lacing. 4/5 Aroma: Malt vinegar, date, cherry, plum and slight notes of wood. 6/10 Taste: Overwhelming vinegary, solid cherries and berries, with slight rotten fruits notes and underlying sweet malts. Sharp and tangy sourness, soon diminished and followed by mild sweetness and intense fruity backbone, no bitterness. Sharp acidy malty fruity vinous finish, well balanced. 8/10 Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied, crispy juicy, low carbonated. 4/5 Overall: Classic sour, quite fruity, good intensity and balance. It's recommanded to gargling with it instead of just taking small sips. 16/20

Copenhagen 3/2 2018. 33 cl bottle from Ølhandleren in Hørning. Grey and silver serious looking label with no less than three World beer Awards (two gold and one bronze). Pours clear dark brown with red hue and small white head. Head disappears completely almost immediately. No lacing. Aroma is intense, sour, citric and slightly acidic. Some cane sugar lurking modestly in the background. Soft yet prickly carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is lightly sweet followed by strong sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sour with hints of sweetness and a little wood. Finish is dry without being extreme. Fine balance between the sharp and sour and the more rounded, oaky with a little sweetness.

Color is dark brick. The aroma is cherry and caramel. The first sip is a sour blast, but it develops complexity immediately. The rich, but mild flavors of cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and wood allow the tartness a fine, aged cheese affect.

Heidbummer (1045) - SCOTLAND - JAN 23, 2018
Bottle. Pours deep amber with ruby highlights, it's a lovely colour held up to the light. Aroma is big soft fruits - loads of raspberry - with a tannic red wine barrel edge. Taste is initially massively tart, almost astringent. It settles to a raspberry laden, deep fruitiness with some oak and herbiness. So drinkable. Great beer.
