COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Rated 3/20/13. 750ml bottle into a Duvel tulip. A: Pours a murky brown color. The head is a one finger light mocha shade that features a beautiful creaminess to it. Lacing is great for the style. S: A lot going on in this one, and a lot going on that I love, as well. Huge sourness (mainly lactic) is augmented brilliantly by tart cherries. Underneath that are layers of oak and cream. Its complex enough, and immensely enjoyable. T: The first note on the palate is a wave of pleasant, well-restrained sourness. Then, fantastic cherry notes overtake the midtaste before a finish that strikes a balance between cream-like sweetness and oaky dryness. Its not the sourness or the fruitiness that lures me into this one; its the sophisticated cohesion between all the different elements which does so. M: Crisp and light, not to mention refreshing. Mellow dryness and carbonation help it go down with incredible ease. O: Wow, this kicks ass. On the right kind of day (lets say perfectly sunny, 80F, sitting on a patio) Id have no trouble crushing multiple 750ml bottles of this left and right. Beautiful stuff, this one.

Super good. The wood is really strong on the nose while the fruity sours are more present during the drink and the oak comes back around on the finish. Really yummy sour.

Bardzo dobre, kwaśne piwo. W aromacie czuć nuty suszonych owocw - głwnie śliwki i wiśni, do tego nuty drewniane, kwaśne, winne, lekko octowe. W smaku kwaśność, sporawa wytawność, ale też śliwkowość i orzeźwiający charakter. Dobrze zbalansowane. Naprawdę solidne.

Pours a two finger light tan head that fades quickly to a ring leaving no lace. Murky brown/amber color some yeast left in bottle. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Sour vinegar nose and flavor is oak and sour apple with hints of sweetness $4.50 for a 330ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

Red/brown thin silky head taste cherry tarte cider vinegar oakcomes through big time in the finish a beer to go with food. Something French and classic would work with this.

not a huge fan of this one. The sourness tastes kind of synthetic and cheap to me, and the supposedly orthogonal vector of sweetness is of a nauseating sort. I sense a lot of similarities to the Belle-vue Gueze which yall rightly panned so I dont see what is seen here

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with little head. Sweet sherry vinegar, brown sugar, lots of dried fruit, figs, raisins, lots from that oak. Complex, tart, delicious.
