A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Had on tap in a flight. Very small head but it is a very nice looking dark red color. It smells like a crayon. This is my first sour beer and it is very sour. I like the taste but I feel like you need to be in the mood for this when you drink it because of how sour it is.

330ml bottled 2016-05-12.

Pour clear mahogany with a nice off-white foam that completely disappear.
Aroma of sour black cherries, molasse and wood.
Taste is of sweet black cherries vinegar, wood and ashes notes.
Medium to high body and low to medium carbonation. Long cherries skin and tart finish.

330ml bottled 2014-05-16. Kept in a temperature (14 celsius) and light (pitch black) controlled environment.
The cherries and wood is more blended, less present and faded. So this brew is not interesting pass 3 years. 7-4-7-4-14 3.6

330 ml. bottle. BBD 12.09.17. Pours a medium, well retained, tiny bubbled, light beige head, with Belgian lacing, over a clear brown (SRM 19) body......nose is very light acetic type acid, with sour cherry tones, light funk, cocoa, vinous and sherry tones, no hops......taste is light tart sour, with sour cherry, plum, raisin tones, vanilla, light wood, big vinous tones with light sherry tones, no hops, finishing with light sour tartness......mouth feel, light of medium body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation, light astringency. This is a totally classic example of a Flanders Red Ale and is utterly delicious and an easy sipper to spend time with. BJCP 10/3/18/5/9

A perfect sour. Tart fruity. Very enjoyable. No vinegar without pushing imagination only on the nose. Very nice. Nice head. Excellent. This is what a sour should be. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Frudel (236) - Montral, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 2, 2017
An amber, reddish liquid flows into the glass, with no head and no bubbles. Cant get calmer than this. Nose is lambic, acetic acid, dried fruits, lovely! Taste is not too sour, super well balanced, some sweetness still there, dark dried fruits, like figs and prunes, the glass goes down by itself. Complexity ++. Well done!

A somewhat red clear beer with no head. Sour nose with cherry, apple and sherry aromas. Sour taste with an underlying sweetness that leads to a tart aftertaste. Soft carbonation and light palate. Superb sour with very good balance between the sourness and sweetness.
