A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Has a very fruity aroma. Tartness is not quite as prevalent as I would like but is still definitely there. Solid beer.

Bottle. Dark red to brown, minimal white head. Aroma of red wine, dark grapes, fresh grape must, mead. Taste is lightly sour, lightly sweet. Blackcurrant, mead, hints of gooseberries, hip wine, yeast, sugar. Medium body and carbonation.

mabuzzer (956) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - JAN 12, 2018
330ml bottle. Clear, reddish brown with a lively off white head that quickly fizzed away to nothing. Aroma is tart apple, cider-like. Fruit dominates the flavour, sweet at first, mellowing to toffee apple and finishing with a sour hit of sherbet.

Rotin (1885) - Neratovice, CZECH REPUBLIC - JAN 10, 2018
Bottle 0.33l. Cloudy, copper colored. AROMA- sour, lightly sweet, sour cherries, mead, herbal tones, aged character. FLAVOR- moderately sour, not dry, a bit sharp, sour cherries, strawberries, mead. Fuller bodied.
Very good.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2018 Degustada en botella de 33cl,de cuerpo medio,en aroma predomina la madera y el vino, luego en boca el sabor es mas asidrado y ácido.

Cokemonkey11 (1123) - - JAN 7, 2018
On tap at burmondsay bottle shop. Medium dark amber with a lovely, fat ring of foam. Scent is generous lambic properties and sour. Raspberries. Taste is vanilla, raspberries, mild molasses, and a perfectly mature sour body. Some wood. Finish is dry/tannic. Ace.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2018 So bloody funky yet moreish. A zingy sherbet backbone. Juicy with red fruits, almost cherry like. The colour, somewhat of a beautiful burnt orange.

Bottle. Unpleasing aroma with significant iron hints. It doesn't appear back in the mouth. Considerably sour, acidic, some vinegar, strong recognition of cherries, plums and their preserves. Surprisingly low influence of oak and its astringency. Flanders' are becoming my thing recently.

thorongil2 (3565) - , Ontario, CANADA - JAN 1, 2018
(Bottle) clear, bright reddish orange colour with a small beige head; aroma of wet wood, sourness; sour flavour with a short, medium sour finish
