Bottle at BA Buffalo bottleshare. I failed to mention in my previous reviews from the other night, that all tastings where blind. This was to atempt to remove prior notions of said brew. This bottle was a 2006 bottle. Pours a amber red hue with white silky head, light wisp of lacing. The nose is lovely with sweetness, slight cherry. Taste is balanced but moderatly puckering, but continues with the cherry caracter. Add vinegar and vanilla. This was by far the best beer of the evening. Body is light and slick. Very sip able.

Mariox (337) - Warsaw, POLAND - NOV 4, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2017 W aromacie winne, octowe, winogrona, beczkowe nuty. W smaku przepiękny balans miedzy słodyczą a kwasowością, goryczka znikoma. Treściwe, bardzo pijalne, świetnie ułożone, alkohol dobrze ukryt. Świetne piwo.

Zlotta (3817) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - APR 29, 2017
Sampled from 0.375 l bottle, 2004 vintage. Clear, golden red, no head. Sweetish, sourish-fruity aroma of cherries, raspberries, vinegar, oak and bitter almond. Slightly sweetish, moderately sour, quite fruity taste of caramel, cherries, oak, vinegar, bitter almond and hints of red grapes, followed by a medium long, rather tart, woody-dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, rather astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, flat. Quite tasty, held up quite well, but shouldn’t be aged any longer.

Koelschtrinker (21489) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - APR 29, 2017
Süß säuerlicher Geruch. Intensiv säuerlicher Start mit Noten leichten Noten von Honig. Weiche milde Getreidenoten, die Säure bleibt hintergründig aber scharf, spritzig, rund aber unsüffig. Vollmundig, langer Nachhall. Sehr gut. 10/9/12/10/12/11

Bottle shared with Zlotta and Koelschtrinker. Klares bernsteinfarbenes Bier. Geruch nach reifen Trauben, rote Früchte, leicht holzig, minimal säuerlich. Geschmack ist minimal säuerlich fruchtig, rote Beeren, Trauben, wenig Dörrobst, karamellig, leicht alkoholisch, toll.

Bottle thanks to Daniel. Pours a clear copper gold with no head. The aroma is cherry skin, funk, oak, vinegar. Thin, oak, funk, vinegar, lingering dry finish, held up very well, no oxidation, boozy, nice sweetness, really enjoyed this.

fkoolen (1336) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - JUL 19, 2016
UPDATED: JUL 19, 2016 37,5 cl bottle, 2004 ed @ Kulminator, Antwerpen. Amber colour, clear, no head. Amazingly rich sweet cherry, aged porto tones, wood, just lightly sour, quite an alcoholic heat. Beautifully lingering aftertaste, sweet porto cherries, perfectly balanced. Huge body, absent carbonation, sticky mouthfeel.

Barrelbelly (751) - BELGIUM - JUL 17, 2016
UPDATED: JUL 17, 2016 2004 version. Cherries, liquorish, sourness, dusty, framboise. Sweet and sour aftertaste.

Theydon_Bois (20621) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2016
Bottle split at Kenny 20K, big thanks to Harrisoni, 15/01/16. Clear golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is vinegar strokes, tarte fruit esters, burnt cherry tones, straw, spice, fruit balsams. Taste comprises cherry balsams, rising acidity, funk, wood must, grain, damp hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, pissy strokes in the close. Ok ... but hasn’t aged that gracefully ... a touch raw.

GothGargoyle (2588) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 6, 2016
Clear light brown with pretty much no head. Aroma is acetic, red fruits. Medium bodied, sour on the palate with a slightly harsh acetic finish. Taste is red wine vinegar, red fruits, honey.
