Bottle at BA Buffalo bottleshare. I failed to mention in my previous reviews from the other night, that all tastings where blind. This was to atempt to remove prior notions of said brew. This bottle was a 2006 bottle. Pours a amber red hue with white silky head, light wisp of lacing. The nose is lovely with sweetness, slight cherry. Taste is balanced but moderatly puckering, but continues with the cherry caracter. Add vinegar and vanilla. This was by far the best beer of the evening. Body is light and slick. Very sip able.
Sampled from 0.375 l bottle, 2004 vintage. Clear, golden red, no head. Sweetish, sourish-fruity aroma of cherries, raspberries, vinegar, oak and bitter almond. Slightly sweetish, moderately sour, quite fruity taste of caramel, cherries, oak, vinegar, bitter almond and hints of red grapes, followed by a medium long, rather tart, woody-dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, rather astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, flat. Quite tasty, held up quite well, but shouldn’t be aged any longer. Süß säuerlicher Geruch. Intensiv säuerlicher Start mit Noten leichten Noten von Honig. Weiche milde Getreidenoten, die Säure bleibt hintergründig aber scharf, spritzig, rund aber unsüffig. Vollmundig, langer Nachhall. Sehr gut. 10/9/12/10/12/11 Beerhunter111 (20344) - P´Castle, GERMANY - APR 29, 2017

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2016 37,5 cl bottle, 2004 ed @ Kulminator, Antwerpen. Amber colour, clear, no head. Amazingly rich sweet cherry, aged porto tones, wood, just lightly sour, quite an alcoholic heat. Beautifully lingering aftertaste, sweet porto cherries, perfectly balanced. Huge body, absent carbonation, sticky mouthfeel.

Bottle split at Kenny 20K, big thanks to Harrisoni, 15/01/16.
Clear golden orange with a decent off white covering.
Nose is vinegar strokes, tarte fruit esters, burnt cherry tones, straw, spice, fruit balsams.
Taste comprises cherry balsams, rising acidity, funk, wood must, grain, damp hay.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, pissy strokes in the close.
Ok ... but hasn’t aged that gracefully ... a touch raw. GothGargoyle (2587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 6, 2016
Clear light brown with pretty much no head. Aroma is acetic, red fruits. Medium bodied, sour on the palate with a slightly harsh acetic finish. Taste is red wine vinegar, red fruits, honey. Leighton (21085) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 11, 2016
Bottle shared at Kenny’s 20K tasting - London. Huge thanks to Ian for this oldie! Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. The nose is all vinegar. Lightly sweet, sharply acetic, with strong vinegar character, vague fruity notes. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Finishes with more sharp acetic bite. A bit harsh overall. This one is most likely over the hill. mR_fr0g (11904) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 2, 2016
Bottle shared at the Kenny 20K mega monster tasting. 15/01/2016. Many thanks to Ian for this one. Clear dull orange golden coloured pour with a halo of small white head. Aroma is sour funk, citrus, , Flavour is composed of light funk, tangy, stale, onion, pithy lemon. Palate is sweet and tangy, lowish carbonation. A bit stale and flabby. Wasn’t a huge fan of this.
