COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rodenbach Vintage is the unique result of selection by our Rodenbach brew masters, the barrel after two years of maturation has produced the best beer, "the best barrel of the year". The label is always the number of barrel stated and the year which marks the beginning of maturation.

Rodenbach Vintage is 100% matured old beer, resulting in superior Rodenbach Grand Cru. Its taste is complex, round, intense and refreshing. Typically, the apple tart fruitiness combined with caramel, wild honey and oak with a hint of vanilla, cherry and licorice. Its aroma has hints of caramel and oak, as well as notes of green apples mixed with honey and chocolate. The soft sour, fruity aftertaste is long and nicely balanced like a grand cru wine.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, corn, hops.

(Bottle. Vintage 2008) Reddish brown colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Fruity, sour nose with notes of red fruit, sour cherries, red-currant, caramel, oak wood and balsamic vinegar. Fruity, tart taste with sour cherries, blood orange, pink grapefruit, red fruit, raspberries, balsamic vinegar, toffee, caramel and a tart, slightly sweet-and-sour, finish. More than medium body, with a slight sweetness. Quite complex and with lots of character, but in exceptional balance. Lovely beer!

Wow. My love of sour beers continues! Appearance is reddish brown. Aroma is vinuous, full of oak, cherries, citrus, somewhat dank and funky. Flavor is a bright cherry, with grape, and tart fruit. Sourness is more of a sharp tartness. Slightly sweet at the same time. The sourness brings a nice biting brightness to the beer. Very satisfying and refreshing.
