Rodenbach Vintage is the unique result of selection by our Rodenbach brew masters, the barrel after two years of maturation has produced the best beer, "the best barrel of the year". The label is always the number of barrel stated and the year which marks the beginning of maturation.

Rodenbach Vintage is 100% matured old beer, resulting in superior Rodenbach Grand Cru. Its taste is complex, round, intense and refreshing. Typically, the apple tart fruitiness combined with caramel, wild honey and oak with a hint of vanilla, cherry and licorice. Its aroma has hints of caramel and oak, as well as notes of green apples mixed with honey and chocolate. The soft sour, fruity aftertaste is long and nicely balanced like a grand cru wine.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, corn, hops.

I went to sniff the aroma and got a bit on my nose and its definitely sour. Despite being sour it very tasty and not too soupy on the tongue. This is a unique style but a pleasant change. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPad

Cudowne, bogate piwo! Mamy tu dużo winnych, octowych, wiśniowych, jabłkowych, cukrowych, trochę drewna, wanilli. W tę całość świetnie wkomponowana jest zarwno słodycz, jak i kwaśność. Genialny balans. Bardzo wysoka pijalność.

Drank 26-4-17 with Pim @ Cafe Moenen (2013 bottle). Rich cherry taste when you keep the beer in your mouth somewhat longer. However, I found the sourness to be really sharp. Maybe Im still getting used to these kinds of beers...

2013 vintage. I put off opening this due to my dislike of sour beers. I finally did it and its turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. Its so much more than sour/tart/acidic, its also sweet/bright/bubbly/fruity with a nice wine-like palate. Extremely complex!

My first sour ale. As a fairly new customer, it appearsI dont have the taste ready for that. Although, I bought a few to revisit this beer strongly recommended by two connoisseurs.

(Vintage 2014) clear ruby red beer with head that disappeared as quickly as it was Coke. Aroma has oak barrel, wooden notes, round ripe fruits and red berries with ending in cherry note. Taste starts with red berries, sour cherry and then wooden oak flavors pop up and the sourness increases in the end. Medium to full body and high fizzy carbonation. Still has a little rough edges, would be interesting to see how this would evolve through the years. If I would have patience for that sort of thing.

(2012 bottle) Vermelho vinho de mdia turbidez, espuma rosada de mdia formao e pouca persistncia. Aroma de vinagre, alta acidez, uva vermelha, vinho. Paladar de mdia acidez e leve dulor. Corpo leve e mdia carbonatao. Final persistente de uva e avinagrada, amadeirado leve muitssimo bem inserido, estilo que demanda experincia mas que se torna imperdvel.
