COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rodenbach Vintage is the unique result of selection by our Rodenbach brew masters, the barrel after two years of maturation has produced the best beer, "the best barrel of the year". The label is always the number of barrel stated and the year which marks the beginning of maturation.

Rodenbach Vintage is 100% matured old beer, resulting in superior Rodenbach Grand Cru. Its taste is complex, round, intense and refreshing. Typically, the apple tart fruitiness combined with caramel, wild honey and oak with a hint of vanilla, cherry and licorice. Its aroma has hints of caramel and oak, as well as notes of green apples mixed with honey and chocolate. The soft sour, fruity aftertaste is long and nicely balanced like a grand cru wine.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, corn, hops.

2009 Bottle, opened at christmas 2012, Red clear, typical Rodenbach colour, minimal white head. Lots of sparkling. Aroma is sour: cherries, green apple, vinegar, oak, leather. Taste is really nice. The sourness is predominantly present. Cherries and apples can be discriminated. Finish is tart and long. Lively carbonation. Great beer, refreshing, A sad side of this large bottle is the huge amount of sourness in my stomach, that is not always appreciated. But hey, it’s worth every drop!

750 ml bottle. Quiet pour with modest carbonation and a wonderful complex aroma of malt vinegar, sour cherry, and hard fruit. This beer has a hazy red brown colour with a sepia head and adequate lace. The sour fruit start has candy sugar notes expanding into the middle. The finish is long with an undertone of cherry and Belgian yeast adding to the complexity. A most refreshing Flemish ale.

Kolor: ciemnobursztynowy, herbaciany, delikatnie zamglony. Piana: średnio obfita, drobnopęcherzykowa, sycząca, w miarę trwała.
Zapach: sporo aromatów czerwonych owoców, wiśni, śliwek, wyraźnie estry, trochę rozpuszczalnika, aromaty winne, trochę drewna, lekkie akcenty dzikich drożdży, całość lekko kwaskowa.
Smak: dość wytrawne, sporo nut ciemnych owoców, wiśni, śliwek, wyraźna kwaśność, skontrowana delikatną słodyczą, lekka taniniczna cierpkość, trochę nut drewna, lekkie nuty winne, niska goryczka.
Wysycenie: średnie.

Barrel Aged blind tasting at Andrew’s. From bottle. Cherry nose, tart and astringent. Big vinegar on nose and first sip. Tart cherry. Bourbon sweet depth. A little sweet and thin by finish. Fruit skin. Apple brandy. Modest booze. Nice.

Strong pointy beer with a lot of flavor and smell. A very intens, yet refreshing fruity old belgian beer. If you love sherry, be sure to taste this! A taste of oak, caramel and sherry. Very strong, intriguing beer.

Vintage 2014.

Effervescence moyenne/faible. Superbe équilibre.

Piękna wiśnia, rocznik 14’, owoc, szlachetność, równowaga, piwo o elegancji wielkich win, dla miłośników stanów pośrednich między ułożonym chianti a poważnym ipa.
