on tap @ Pizza Plant Walker. Sour cherry, oak, rich brew. Sours not really my thing but this was drinkable Beltramelli (471) - Campinas, BRAZIL - AUG 15, 2007
Dry. Uva, madeira, não tem o tanino característico dos vinhos - portanto, não "amarra" a boca. Retrogosto muito bom, amarga no ponto, apesar de frutada, sente-se o lúpulo. Diferentaça! DuffMan (10665) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 13, 2007
Funny little bottle bought at the 9-11 bottle shop in Hobart Tasmania. Rich mahogany brown with a sour berry spicy aroma. Caramel and sour cherry and berry flavour, sweetly spiced with a refreshing tartness in the finish. I really liked this, and the more examples I try, the more I am a fan of this unusual style. jalichio999 (502) - BRAZIL - AUG 12, 2007
Bottle. Dark red coloration, with a beige head. Sweet, bitter and dry palate. Notes of grape and wood. Not full-bodied. It´s a singular beer. Flyer (118) - Hartland, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 8, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 29, 2008 I’m a fan of this style, and this might be the best example I’ve had. It has a nice amber-cherry color and that classic aroma with a hint of barnyard (yes, that’s a good thing) and some sourness. The initial flavor is sour cherry and some orange peel, with some floral qualities and a clean tartness that sparkles on the tongue. What pluses this for me is the finish, which had a faintly bitter crispness. Both complex and refreshing.

Mahogany with a creamy, nice head. The aroma has a berry-like acidity and the flavour is sweet/slightly sour with nice notes of berries, caramel and it’s a smooth, pleasant, uncomplicated and charming beer - quenching and nice. 2477 Jmichael (640) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - AUG 3, 2007
poured into small tuilip. tasting at bruisin ales. pours a brown clear amber, a sour fruity aroma. sour on the front initial, with relatively mild finish. fruity and sour, good stuff... Christian (13815) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 31, 2007
On tap, Christian IV, Odense. Clear reddish brown, with a small creamy off-white head. Rich aroma of dark sugar, spice, malt and of course, that indescribeable, vinegar-like bret. Sweet flavour with acid balance. Pleasant malt background. Lovely beer, if slightly on the sweet side for my taste. Bosskie (928) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 30, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2007 25cl 5.2% bought in Belgium.
Red-brown and clear but very dark, with a small head.
The aroma is pretty interesting: burnt sugar, coffee, cardamom, curry, soy sauce, smell - it smells like a Chinese dish!
Bitter-sweet flavour with a liquorice, burnt sugar, apple syrup taste. Overal an interesting beer, but a bit too sweet for me. dpbhoosier (51) - USA - JUL 28, 2007
Dark color with thin off white fizzy head. Refreshing tartness with light fruitiness. Medium body and carbonation. Easy to drink. Very good.
