On Tap at the Hop Devil Grill, NYC. Pours a deep reddish brown with a bit of lacing on top. This is a truly wonderful beer but may not be for everyone. It has a hint of tartness which goes really well with seafood or heavy meats. It is well balanced with sweet malty caramel flavors and deeply rich like a good wine almost. Easy to drink, refreshing and not as sour as other Flemish sours.

Small bottle Appearance: dark amber, beige head, quite good lacing Aroma: sour, red fruits (cherries?) and wood, Taste: sour middle - high at the beginning, then one feels it less, hint of red fruits/cherries, aftertaste: sweet boiled candy like

Bottle. Brown, but with a ruby red color when held to the light. Aroma has a bit of chocolate notes, toasty, bready, sugary sweet. Flavor is not overly sour, but tart notes are present. A bit of an odd lingering aftertaste. Thin bodied. Some dark fruit notes.

Przyjemne piwo, jednak w porownaniu z GrandCru to biednie

Klarowne, ciemnobursztynowe. Gęsta piana. Niezbyt trwała. W zapachu wiśnie, jabłka i kaśność. W smaku czarna porzeczka i delikatny kwasek. Dość słodkie, delikatnie klejące wargi.

Brick-red/brown color. Minor head. Thick and very opaque. Dark, sugary balsamic vinegar sourness. Lots of deep cherry and brown sugar. Flavor is more sour/sugary business, with a finish of dark cherry. Slick and slippery on the palate. Surprising that its only 5.2% considering how flavor-packed it is. Its a very very good beer, sour and just booming with sugary-sour flavors.

Pikodeth (19) - - FEB 20, 2017
Clear, red beer with no head. Nice aroma, quit sweet, noticable acetic acid, funky. Really good taste, sour, slightly sweet, balanced and complex. Average cabonation. Typical flanders red ale.

A standard for fans of the style and a great intro for those that arent. Not as good as the Grand Cru but then basically nothing is. Thick brown rubies dissipate into light cherry vinegar and sour Belgian soil. Nifty.

Bottle. Dark ruby red, subdued sourness, some sweetness, dark cherries. Refreshing. Light sour, dry finish. (2008)
